“Then the lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving!” – Exodus 14:15
I absolutely love this verse. For far too long, I used to cry out to God in order for him to fix the problems in my life. But as God taught the Israelites as they were surrounded by their enemies, faith enables action, not idleness.
Crying out to God for help isn’t a bad thing, but if it ends there, it can be. Instead, it should lead to his nudge for us to move, whether it be to take a step back or take a step forward. If we wish to see God move, we must stand up and join him in the action.
It is only then when we can do nothing, he can do everything.
