Why I get up in the morning

Some days I don’t feel like getting up in the morning because I trick myself into beliving sleep is better than getting out of bed and living life. That’s a problem, though, because there’s so much to do and so little time to do it all. As I’ve mentioned before, we make time for what matters. And while sleep does matter, so does getting up early and starting the day off right.

And what does starting the day off right look like? For me, it’s getting in God’s presence and spending time with him. I can’t even begin to explain how refreshing it is, and how joyful and peaceful it is. It changes everything.

I want to do it more.

I want to walk closely with God and worship him every day.

That’s my reason for getting up. That’s why my eyes open with anticipation and excitement in the morning for what he has in store for me.
