Reaping and Sowing

In our rich consumerist society, I think we expect too much for too little. We ask for everything, but only wish to pay nothing. We cry out to God to do something in our lives, but we don’t want to spend thirty minutes praying.

Well, there’s a formula out there about this; it’s called reaping and sowing. Whatever you reap, you sow. It’s that simple. If you want something, you have to work for it. As I recently saw on a Facebook post, if you want to do something, you have to be willing to try something you’ve never done before.

So what is it that’s holding you back? Why are you upset when nothing comes out of the soil because you didn’t put anything there?

Look up, there’s still time. Go grab that seed and plant it. It might take seconds, days, or years to harvest, but patient endurance will pay off in the end.

Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. (Galatians 6:7)
