Do you know God? Do you trust Him?
A lot of people believe that God exists, or they know a lot about God, but they don’t know Him. They don’t know Him personally.
Believing that Jesus saved us from our sins doesn’t get us to heaven. Let’s be honest, demons know and believe that Jesus has saved us from our sins. They hate it.
You see, it’s more than believing a fact. It’s trusting a fact. It’s leaning on the fact. It’s setting your whole life around that one fact.
John 3:16 is such a common verse, but I think a lot of people don’t quite understand the part where it says “whoever believes in [Jesus] will not perish but have eternal life.” It doesn’t simply say “believes Jesus,” but rather a much more intimate belief in someone.
I for one will not trust or believe in a stranger with my entire life, dreams, goals, and hopes. And I think most people would do the same. Therefore, we ought to know God on an intimate level, something that is completely attainable because when we seek Him, we shall find Him.
Living life to the fullest is more than simply believing in a loving God. It’s experiencing and knowing a loving God.
